Bring the book to life through the magic of augmented reality!
I want to show you a magic trick!
What if a photo could move? Over the past year, I’ve been experimenting with “Augmented Reality.” To make a long story short, I’ve found a way to bring the photos in my book to life by turning the still images into moving, cinematic moments! And today, I’m bringing a touch of this magic straight to your fingertips!
And here’s how you can bring your own copy of WILD WONDER to life using the same tech! Simply follow these steps (decent internet connection required):
Scan this QR code to download an app called HALO AR. (Scan the code with your phone’s camera if you’re looking at it on another screen. If you’re on your phone right now, simply click the QR code.)
Open the Halo AR app. A series of default prompts will come up. Navigate accordingly. The IMPORTANT THING is that you ALLOW CAMERA ACCESS.
In the app, follow the collection “Free WILD WONDER Sample”. For some, it will load automatically. But if it doesn't, simply go back to the QR code, scan or click it again, which should open the link in your browser. That should redirect you back to the app & load/activate the collection.
With the Free WILD WONDER Sample collection loaded, use the app’s scan/camera feature and point it at the cover of the book. And make sure your volume is up! You should see a blue spinning magic circle of sorts and then the cover should be replaced with video and music!

But text-based instructions are boring, and the reality is some of you probably didn’t read it all. (I’m guilty of this, too!)So guess, what… I made a video to demo it all for you!
THIS IS JUST A SAMPLE TASTE
Just like when you’re walking down an aisle in Costco, this is just a free sample! And this free sample works on only FIVE IMAGES in the book: the Front Cover, the Back Cover, the Title Page, and the two images on the Dedication Pages (including the photo of my Mama!)
You can enjoy the AR magic over & over again using the app. Just make sure the Free WILD WONDER SampleCollection is selected down at the bottom of the screen. (TIP: Click the three dots at the top-right to unlock the full app for future use. Create an account for a better app experience, and maybe even experiment with creating your own AR magic using your own photos or art!)

Later this fall, I will be bringing the entire book to life! But it’s not going to be free. 🤑 I will be selling a digital pass that will unlock the entire book for around $10. I’ll make noise about it when it's time! For now, please enjoy the free sample magic and see how it works on your device.
Sadly, this technology won’t work for everyone. This technology is quite new and fairly experimental, and for whatever reason, it just won’t work on some folks’ devices. So if this doesn’t work for you and you don’t have the technical know-how and determination to troubleshoot on your own, I’m so sorry. Maybe ask a friend for help and try it on their phone! =)
